Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Walk in any day we are open, Tuesday to Saturday. If you would rather hold a time, book a chair on the booking page or call the shop.
How does the line work?
Add your name to the board when you arrive and you are taken in the order you came. Clients who booked are seen at their time, and the line waits for them. Waits vary; the board shows who is next.
How long does a cut take?
Usually 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the service. Each service on the menu shows its minutes.
Can you cut my hair?
We cut straight, wavy, curly, coily and twisted hair. Bring a photo of what you want and the barber will tell you what is possible with your hair.
How often should I come back?
Most clients come every three to five weeks. A taper keeps its shape longest with a visit every three to four weeks. Your barber will tell you in the chair.
Can I book a specific barber?
Yes. Choose a barber when you book, or use the Book button under their name on the barbers page. If you walk in, ask for them and wait your turn on the board.
What do I bring to the chair?
A photo of the cut you want, if you have one. Nothing else; the shop has the capes, towels and chairs.
What if I am late or need to cancel?
Let us know at least 3 hours ahead to change or cancel. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may take the next client and fit you in after.
Do you cut kids' hair?
Yes. A booster seat goes on the big chair. A parent stays in the shop during the cut. A first cut takes a little longer.
How do I pay, and how does tipping work?
We take cash and cards at the chair. A tip is welcome and goes to the barber who cut your hair; you can leave it in cash or when you pay by card.
